Flintloque

April 2011

Just realised that text does not display properly in Firefox hence the playing around with colour with only partial success

Quite A few Updates there's some 40K stuff - Crimson Fists, lots of bits and Bobs in the All things Zombie page including Scooby Doo and the Gang, Wargames Factory Zombies, and some updated Westwind and GW pics. I've added a few Flintloque Todorini Pics, for those off you who don't know Flintloque is 28mm scale Napoleonic skirmish from Alternative Armies but with a twist, The figures are various different races include Orcs for the Brits Elves for the French, Toads are kingdom of Naples. It's an enjoyable game. he miniatures aren't to everyones taste but I like them.

September 2010

Added some pictures in the All Things Zombie folder, includes some painted figs from Hasslefree which form my group of survivors and some more building pictures of the Worldworks buildings. I've also added pictures of Shark's Rifles from the original Flintloque boxed set.
I've got a load of photos of  Crimson Fists Space Marines and Zombies which I'll try and add this month just need to tweak the pictures.

May 2010

I've returned to English Civil War, They were the first metal figures I bought 30 years ago, I still have those figures so have started adding to them. the first addition being the Warlord ECW Cavalry.

I've built a small town for my "All Things Zombie" games using Worldworks "Urban Mayhem" sets I've also picked up the Terrainlinx Mayhem sets from Worldworks and started building that.

I found, buried at the bottom of a pile of boxes, the original Flintloque box set with Lt Sharke, Sgt Harpy and his Orc rifles, They're in paint at the moment so ther'll be a couple of pics in the on the bench section. For those of you who never encountered Flintloque it's a 28mm skirmish game, Based on various races in Napoleonic Uniforms, The French are Elves, Spanish Goblins, British Orcs, There's toads, Dogs and all sorts. Anyway I'll get a few Pics up and maybe a game review.

I've painted up the Westwind Zombies and am working on the plastic Wargames Factory Zombies, I've ordered up some Characters from Hasselfree Miniatures as well.

Currently working on a Chaos Dwarf army for Warhammer, I also got some of the Two hour Wargames rules including "All Things Zombie" so some Westwind Zombies have arrived on my desk.

Aug 2009

Lots of stuff being updated this month, there's some stuff on prehistoric gaming using Chris Peers "Tooth and Claw" rules, some Lord of the Ring miniatures, Warg riders, Gandalf and Urak-Hai. Some  great miniatures I painted for the Christmas Village from Foundry and Westwind and some Spanish Infantry for the Napoleonic games. I've also returned to my Chaos Dwarf army and am building that up. The Sneaky Gits are "in paint" at the moment and I'll put some work in progress shots in the On the Bench page.

Two updates in one month! There's pics of the Napoleonic work, 2 French line Battalions and 3 Imperial Guard battalions, these are a mix of Minifigs (old and new) and AB Miniatures. The bases arrived from Rob at Fox Bases so although these figures are on Fox Bases I hope to do a little more about these items. The figures are based to "General de Brigade" specifications but could be used with "Age of Eagles" as well.

I finally got to play a game of "Flames of War" I've had the figures painted for a while but never got round to playing. Today went down to Vincent's store "Sir Games a Lot" in the Bayfield Mall in Barrie. Some very helpful guys there, John and Doug partnered up with me and Marcus to play a 3000 point game, very enjoyable and although both myself and Marcus on occasions looked a little lost trying to keep up the guys at the club were excellent at explaining. definitely a return visit is in order.

I'm still playing around with the pics, if you don't like what you see, would like a model in more (hopefully not less detail) less cluttered ask and I'll post it. Above all positive criticism is welcomed.

2 Aug 2008

The April issue of Battlegames had an article by David Brown about his rule set "General de Brigade" well it inspired me to dig out my 15mm Napoleonic lead mountain and paint some more of them (and order the rule set). Of course when you start painting that always seems to necessitate buying more so I bought my first AB Minis (or are they Eureka now) whatever.

Very impressed, could paint these minis to a far better standard than I have but I'm trying to get a good few battalions painted. So in the on the bench section are some pics of last months painting. There mostly Minifigs of two generations. I said it was the lead mountain so most are the late 80's early 90's models I had to supplement with some of the current range.

I'm now waiting on rob from Fox Bases to furnish me with a load more bases and I'll finish these off and base them. then I'll post a few better pics.

For those of you who may have tried to contact me in the past I've just realised I hadn't set up the feedback page properly! it now works.

I've put a few pics from a Napoleonic game I had last year and there should be a fair few Napoleonics and WW2 flames of War Pics coming soon.

New Pics

I've painted up some DeeZee figures for "Tooth and Claw" and  Copplestone Castings for the hunters Pics of figures and game report coming soon.
